  • born in Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic), in 1932
  • 1956 – graduated at the Czech Technical University in Prague, affiliated with Inst. Radio Eng. Electronics (IRE) Acad. Sciences
  • 1961 – completed postgraduate study (CSc ~ PhD) in IRE
  • 1961-1982 – research in IRE (electromagnetic theory, electromagnetic wave propagation, microwave semiconductor devices, their measurements)
  • 1982-1997 – Faculty of Math. and Phys., Charles Univ., Prague (research on coherent states in biological systems, their electromagnetic activity and role in cancer transformation).
  • 1994 – awarded Doctor of Sciences degree (DrSc ~ DSc)
  • 1997 up to now – continuation of the research in Inst. Photonics and Electron. (IPE)
  • 2008 – emeritus in IPE
  • Since 1987 – organization of 8 international meetings on biophysical (electromagnetic) aspects of biological activity and cancer transformation of cells
  • 2005 – Fröhlich Centenary International Symposium “Coherence and Electromagnetic Fields in Biological Systems” – chief organizer.
  • 2008 – International Symposium Biophysical Aspects of Cancer – Electromagnetic Mechanisms – chief organizer.
