Bára Švejkarová, a PhD student at the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT), is conducting research in optical fibers and fiber lasers at the Institute of Photonics and Electronics.
During the Photonics TALENT Summer School in Bordeaux, she was awarded second place in the Best Poster Competition, announced during a networking evening held at the Radisson Blu Hotel. Her poster presented research on improving the cooling of high-power thulium-doped fiber lasers.
This international summer school offered participants a broad range of lectures by leading scientists in the field of laser source development, opportunities to visit local photonics companies, a poster session with awards, a job fair, and many other activities.
Congratulations to Bára on this great achievement!
