The project goal is development of pulsed ytterbium fiber laser in MOPA configuration with min. 400 W average power, pulse energy of >40 mJ and variable pulse duration and shape in range 10-300 ns with multimode beam. This kind of laser is the most expensive component of the laser cleaning system ROD 500 developed by Narran. Narran’s motivation is to raise competitive ability and gain control over the production and supply of the key component so as to secure against market and political risks. We would also be the first to design and commercially manufacture such a laser in Czechia incl. the active fiber. Project result is a functional sample of advanced active ytterbium fibers and functional prototype of the laser source tested in laser cleaning system ROD 500.
This project is co-financed with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the National Competence Centre Programme. This project is funded under the National Recovery Plan from the European Recovery and Resilience Facility.
