Within our project “Topological properties of skyrmionic states in non-Hermitian photonic structures” which will be carried out in close collaboration with ongoing Action COST  “Topological textures in condensed matter” (Polytopo) CA23134 we plan to study fundamental features of topological arrangements and topological phases in coupled waveguide arrays that provide a suitable platform which allows investigation of the effects arising from the interaction between non-Hermiticity and their nontrivial topological properties and offers a possibility of realization of 2D skyrmionic topological structures that enable new ways of controlling of propagation the EM fields.
