Jiří Homola, Ph.D., DSc. received the prestigious Academic Award

The prestigious Academic Prize - Praemium Academiae - was awarded on Thursday 30 June 2011 at the headquarters of the Czech Academy of Sciences by its President Prof. Jiří Drahoš to two prominent Czech scientists - Jiří Homola, Ph.D., DSc. from the Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the CAS and Prof. Martin Hof from the J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry of the CAS.

An academic bonus of up to CZK 5 million per year for six years is awarded to exceptional scientists who “are among the top in their field internationally and create prestige for the Czech Academy of Sciences as a whole”.
