Postdoctoral Research Fellow in High-power CW and Pulse Fibre Lasers

The Institute of Photonics and Electronics v. v. i.* invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the field of development of high-power CW and pulse fibre lasers within the Fibre Lasers and Nonlinear Optics research team.


Job description

The selected candidate will participate in the development of high-power CW and pulse fibre lasers. The research will be focused on high-power CW and high-energy Q-switched and mode-locked ytterbium-, thulium-, and holmium-doped fibre lasers, fibre amplifiers and applications.



  • PhD degree (equivalent) in the field of fibre lasers.
  • Experience with high-power/pulsed fibre lasers.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.

Terms of employment

Full-time employment contract for one year with the possibility of an extension starting from July 2024 or as soon as possible.
