On Thursday, September 24, our Institute welcomed the International Advisory Board of ÚFE, whose members represent universities, technology institutes, and specialized laboratories from a total of six different countries. The list of board members can be found here.
The international delegation spent the entire day at ÚFE. The meeting included traditional laboratory tours of our research teams, as well as presentations summarizing our research outcomes from 2020–2024 and discussions about our vision and long-term strategy.
An afternoon session was also dedicated to a meeting between the board members and our young researchers, PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows. The discussion covered a wide range of topics such as funding opportunities for early-career scientists at the Czech Academy of Sciences, gaining professional experience through independent project work, as well as support for publishing activities and technology transfer.
The members of the advisory board provided us with valuable feedback and shared their expertise, particularly in the area of transferring research results into practical applications.
