The Open Days of the Institute of Photonics and Electronics are intended primarily for high school and university students studying physics, chemistry and biology and their teachers, but also for all enthusiasts and those interested in science from the general public. The ÚFE Open Days will take place on Thursday and Friday, 6–7 November. Do not hesitate to come and talk to our scientists, try out basic laboratory techniques and get to know the world of cutting-edge research in the field of photonics, optoelectronics and electronics.
What you can see here
Come and see the nanoworld of photons and electrons. For example, you will find out where the exact time is taken, you will know the secrets of microscopy, nanoscopy, ultra-sensitive optical biosensors, optical fibers and fiber lasers. You will learn more about microwave radiation and biomolecules. You can even try to pull out an optical fiber.
Lectures and excursions to scientific laboratories
This year we have prepared a rich program for you at both our workplaces. You can come to a lecture or take part in an excursion to a scientific laboratory. Due to limited capacity, it is necessary to register for individual lectures and excursions in advance.
We would like to inform you that the program runs in Czech.
Online registration
Registration for main building (Prague 8 – Kobylisy)
Registration for detached laboratory (Prague 6 – Lysolaje)
Come and discover the world of cutting-edge research in the field of photonics, optoelectronics and electronics in practice. We look forward to seeing you!
