It focuses on state-of-the-art <strong>fiber and thin-disc lasers and their applications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The LasApp Project will primarily advance existing state-of-the-art laser technologies, for which it will explore entirely new application directions with the potential for breakthrough solutions at an international level. Strategic application areas include space biotechnology and smart advanced manufacturing applications. The Project will produce excellent research outputs, including outputs with application potential. The Project will promote the internationalisation of laser technology research, developing excellent teams and international collaboration, produce excellent research outputs, including outputs with application potential. The Project will promote the internationalisation of laser technology research, developing excellent teams and international collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Main objective of the project is to foster a center of scientific excellence and competence in laser technology with a focus on fiber lasers and thin-disc lasers and their potential applications.<\/p>\n<p>The LasApp project includes 4 research work packages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Advanced fiber technologies and applications<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>leader: Pavel Honz\u00e1tko from \u00daFE<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Laser applications in space<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>leader: Martin Smr\u017e from HiLASE<\/em><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Laser applications in biotechnology<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>leader: Zdena Palkov\u00e1 from BIOCEV<\/em><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Smart laser manufacturing<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>leader:\u00a0Sunil Pathak, vice-leader: Jan Brajer from HiLASE<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are 6 partners working together on the project.
