The source will be based on the difference frequency generation in nonlinear crystal. It exploits the know-how of the Institute of Photonics and Electronics in the field of high-power lasers and periodically poled crystals. The source will generate a narrowband signal tuneable in the spectral range of 3200-3800nm with mW power.
