The seminar was held as part of a mobility project between the \u00daFE research team Fiber Lasers and Nonlinear Optics and the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology in Jena in Th\u00fcringen (IPHT).<\/p><p>The presentations were very well received and sparked a lively discussion, as the topic of materials research for power fiber lasers is highly topical in terms of both fundamental research and practical applications. The seminar was attended by more than 30 participants, including partners from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.optickyklastr.cz\/en\/main\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Czech Optical Cluster<\/a>.<\/p><p>The programme included the following lectures:<\/p><ul><li><em>Pavel Honz\u00e1tko:\u00a0<strong>Introduction of the team of Fiber lasers and nonlinear optics<\/strong><\/em><\/li><li><em>Petr Va\u0159\u00e1k:\u00a0<strong>Nanoparticle doping towards highly thulium-doped fibers for 0.8-\u00b5m pumped 2-\u00b5m fiber lasers &#8211;
