The ceremony took place in Prague&#8217;s Lann Villa on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the prizes were presented to the laureates by the president of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Eva Za\u017e\u00edmalov\u00e1.<\/p><p style=\"margin: 0.5em 0px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ufe.cz\/en\/michal-kamradek\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color: black; border-bottom: 1px dotted rgb(136, 136, 136); font-weight: bold;\">Michal Kamr\u00e1dek<\/a>&nbsp;focuses on research into the technology of special optical fibers. He helped develop new types of spectral range (2 \u03bcm &#8211; micrometers), safer for the eye, which is very relevant because it can be used, for example, in medicine, industry or in air defense. For example, he participated in the original method of preparing active fibers by doping with nanoparticles.
