One of the most prestigious sub-conferences of the symposium is the\u00a0<strong>Fiber Lasers: Technology and Systems conference<\/strong>, where, in strong competition,\u00a0<strong>Ond\u0159ej Schreiber<\/strong>\u00a0from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ufe.cz\/en\/team\/fiber-lasers-and-non-linear-optics\">Fiber Lasers and Nonlinear Optics team<\/a>\u00a0won the second prize in the student competition for the best lecture for the work\u00a0<em>&#8220;The effect of temperature dependence of thulium cross sections on thulium-doped fiber laser operation&#8221;<\/em>.
