Every year, one extraordinary result is presented at the meeting of the\u00a0Academic Assembly<\/a>\u00a0in the form of a video, which significantly presents the\u00a0Czech Academy of Sciences<\/a>\u00a0and addresses the general public. This year, an extraordinary result from our workplace was selected for presentation at the meeting of the Academic Assembly on April 20, namely from the Optical biosensors research team<\/a> of\u00a0Prof. Ji\u0159\u00ed Homola<\/a>.<\/p>

The Optical Biosensors team has developed a new analytical method that allows them to detect nucleic acids with extreme sensitivity in a blood sample – thus helping to diagnose various diseases. The news server\u00a0Novinky.cz<\/a>, for example, wrote about the discovery.<\/p>
