The SPIE Optics + Optoelectronics Symposium<\/a>, one of the largest optics and optoelectronics events in Central Europe, bringing together experts in the field of optics and optoelectronic devices and presenting the latest advances in laser technology worldwide, was held at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague-Vyso\u010dany. The symposium is organised by the international society for optics and photonics SPIE<\/a>. Scientists from UFE chaired three of the sixteen conferences, Prof. Ji\u0159\u00ed Homola<\/a> chaired the conference on optical sensors, which is traditionally the largest sub-event of the symposium, Prof. Ji\u0159\u00ed \u010ctyrok\u00fd<\/a> chaired the conference on integrated optics and Dr. Vladim\u00edr Kuzmiak<\/a> chaired the conference on metamaterials.<\/p>

The SPIE Optics + Optoelectronics 2025 symposium was held in Prague from 7 to 10 April. The Institute of Photonics and Electronics was actively involved, with UFE scientists chairing 3 conferences.
