Scientific publications (articles in journals or specialist monographs) that meet predetermined criteria can be entered into the competition. The competition is evaluated and the best publication is selected by an expert committee.<\/p><p>Several publications were nominated for the competition, but only one can be the winner. The winner for 2018 was a publication by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ufe.cz\/en\/research\/optical-biosensors\/\">Optical Biosensors research team<\/a>: <strong>B. \u0160pa\u010dkov\u00e1, N. S. Lynn Jr., J. Slab\u00fd, H. \u0160\u00edpov\u00e1, J. Homola: A route to superior performance of a nanoplasmonic biosensor: consideration of both photonic and mass transport aspects, ACS Photonics, 5, 1019-1025 (2018)<\/strong>.
