Just issued in journal A Věda a výzkum: Guardians of the exact time

How is time measured and defined? What is atomic time and leap second? Read in the article about the Laboratory of the National Time and Frequency Standard in the new issue of the journal A Věda a výzkum (A Science and Research).

We never have enough of it and we try to save some every day. But who measures and defines time itself?

With these words the article Guardians of the exact time in the journal A Věda a výzkum 01/2022 begins. Jan Hanáček, author of the article, had the opportunity to look into the Laboratory of the National Time and Frequency Standard at ÚFE, where cesium clocks work tirelessly to create the exact time, and interviewed the head of the laboratory, Alexander Kuna.
