Development of Sensors for Hydrogen and Carbon Monoxide Detection in the Energy and Automotive Industries

Provider: Technology Agency of the Czech Republic
Principal recipient: TESLA BLATNÁ, a.s.
Co-investigator:
From: 1. January 2024
To: 30. June 2026
Project number:

The aim of the project is to develop, produce and market chemical gas sensors intended for the detection of hydrogen and carbon monoxide in two specific application areas related to Advanced and Safe Transportation and Green Technologies: a) sensors for the early detection of damage of Li-ion batteries used in electric vehicles and home photovoltaic systems, b) sensors for the detection of “green hydrogen” added to natural gas. The proposed technical solution is to use in the above mentioned application areas two types of chemical gas sensors: a) chemiresistors, b) SAW-type sensors. In both sensor types the zinc oxide nanostructures with possible decoration with metal nanoparticles will be used as sensitive layers.

This project is co-financed with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the TREND Programme. This project is funded under the National Recovery Plan from the European Recovery and Resilience Facility.
