Whistleblower protection

In order to ensure ethical standards, and taking into account Act No. 171/2023 Coll. on the protection of whistleblowers, Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons who report infringements of Union law, as amended, and related legislation, the ÚFE has adopted systemic measures to reduce the risk of violations. The ÚFE has set rules for reporting potential infringements through the Whistleblower Protection Directive (in Czech only).

1. Possible ways of sending notifications:

I. Notification via VOS (internal notification system of the ÚFE)

a) in writting

  • by letter to the Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the CAS, v. v. i., Chaberská 1014/57, 182 00 Prague 8, with the envelope marked “VOS – DO NOT OPEN”;
  • by email to the email address protipravni.jednani@ufe.cz;
  • via the communication platform accessible here.

b) orally

  • by phone at +420 266 773 507 (Magda Stockettová);
  • after agreement and within a reasonable time also in person.

2. Only the competent persons who properly assess the validity of the notification shall be made aware of the notification. The persons responsible are: 

3. The obliged entity (ÚFE) does not exclude receiving notifications from a person who does not perform work or other similar activities for the obliged entity as referred to in Section 2(3)(a), (b), (h) or (i) of the Whistleblower Protection Act.
