Century of Czech Science: Eva Zažímalová and Andrej Babiš launched the Week of Science and Technology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic

The largest scientific festival in the Czech Republic has reached the age of majority. The rich program began on 5 November 2018 by the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Eva Zažímalová, and the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš.

The public and scholarly pupils and students await lectures, laboratory tours, film screenings, theater performances, exhibitions, science shows and much more throughout the week. The festival is free of charge.

The central theme of this year’s Week of Science and Technology of the Academy of Sciences is the century of Czech science 1918-2018. With scientists at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, you can discover throughout the week until November 11, 2018, how science looked 100 years ago at the birth of Czechoslovakia, and how science disciplines have evolved since then.

Within the Week of Science and Technology, Open House Days are waiting for you at our institute. We have prepared interesting excursions for 6 laboratories and one external laboratory.

The report was taken from the web site of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
