The competition for the best ÚFE publication was won by the Optical Biosensors team

The institute's management evaluated the competition for the best ÚFE publication of 2018.

Members of the Optical Biosensors research team, Jiří Slabý and Nicholas Scott Lynn, received diplomas from the institute’s management for the best scientific publication of the Institute of Physics in 2018.

Every year, the institute’s management announces a competition for the best ÚFE publication. Scientific publications (articles in journals or specialist monographs) that meet predetermined criteria can be entered into the competition. The competition is evaluated and the best publication is selected by an expert committee.

Several publications were nominated for the competition, but only one can be the winner. The winner for 2018 was a publication by the Optical Biosensors research team: B. Špačková, N. S. Lynn Jr., J. Slabý, H. Šípová, J. Homola: A route to superior performance of a nanoplasmonic biosensor: consideration of both photonic and mass transport aspects, ACS Photonics, 5, 1019-1025 (2018). Details of the record in the ASEP system can be found here.
