Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports Award for Outstanding Results in Research, Experimental Development and Innovation

The Minister has been awarding the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Award for outstanding achievements in research, experimental development and innovation since 1991. Every year, research organizations and universities nominate outstanding achievements in research, experimental development, and innovation achieved over the past five years with financial support from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, which represent personalities in science and research. A commission composed of leading figures in the scientific sphere selects outstanding achievements, which it recommends to the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports.

The personality of Marek Piliarik

Marek Piliarik, Ph.D., has been associated with our institute for almost 30 years. During his scientific career, he has gained experience and worked at foreign scientific institutions, such as the University of Washington (USA), the Institute of Physics (Austria), the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Switzerland), and the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light and Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany).

His most recent significant awards include the Czech Academy of Sciences Award for outstanding research results for a photothermal spatial light modulator for ultra-sensitive 3D nanoscopy, which he developed with his research team.

Congratulations on receiving this prestigious award!
