Vala and Borodkin won the men’s doubles title at the Czech Academy of Sciences Badminton Tournament

Milan Vala and Andrei Borodkin from the ÚFE won first place in the men’s doubles at the Czech Academy of Sciences’ AKA Badminton Tournament.

Milan Vala and Andrei Borodkin, employees of the Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, achieved success at the 3rd annual Czech Academy of Sciences Badminton Tournament, which took place on April 12, 2026, in Prague. They remained undefeated in the men’s doubles category and took first place.

The Badminton AKAtournament is a sporting event for employees of the Czech Academy of Sciences. It is held annually and offers an opportunity for informal gatherings and friendly competition across the various institutes. The tournament is organized by the Czech Academy of Sciences in cooperation with selected institutions, and every year it attracts tens to hundreds of players from across the country.
